Coconut Oil is a plant-derived fixed oil obtained from the kernel of the coconut, Cocos nucifera. Virgin Coconut Oil is naturally rich in medium-chain and saturated fatty acids, particularly lauric acid, and is widely used in skin and hair-care formulations for its emollient and conditioning properties. Fractionated Coconut Oil, commonly supplied as Caprylic/Capric Triglyceride, is a lightweight liquid triglyceride fraction rich primarily in C8 and C10 fatty-acid esters and is widely used as a light emollient and carrier in cosmetic formulations.
Bulk quantities and customized supply requirements are available for professional buyers.
Coconut Oil is a versatile botanical fixed oil obtained from the kernel of the coconut palm, Cocos nucifera. It is valued in personal-care formulations for its emollient, skin-conditioning and hair-conditioning properties and is used across skin care, hair care, body care and cleansing formulations.
Virgin Coconut Oil is obtained from coconut material with minimal processing and retains the characteristic composition and sensory profile of coconut oil. Its fatty-acid profile is dominated by saturated fatty acids, particularly lauric acid, with caprylic, capric and myristic acids also contributing significantly. Codex reference ranges for coconut oil include approximately 45.1–53.2% lauric acid, 16.8–21.0% myristic acid, 7.5–10.2% palmitic acid, 4.6–10.0% caprylic acid and 5.0–8.0% capric acid.
Fractionated Coconut Oil / MCT Oil is a different material. Coconut-derived fatty acids are fractionated and used to produce triglycerides predominantly containing caprylic (C8) and capric (C10) fatty acids. The resulting ingredient is liquid at room temperature, lightweight and suitable as an emollient, carrier and oil-phase component in cosmetic formulations.
